Perform 6000 Filter Media (BHO Extraction)

This highly acidic bentonite clay is a slightly more acidic version of the Perform 5000, recommended for heavy cleanup where flavor retention is no longer a concern. PH 2.5

Description

Perform 6000 is a highly acidic bentonite clay (pH 2.5) formulated for intensive cleanup in hydrocarbon extraction. It excels at removing stubborn chlorophyll and color bodies, making it well-suited for heavily oxidized or challenging biomass. This free-flowing powder offers reliable, long filtration cycles with a slow flow rate to help maintain smooth processing.

How Perform 6000 Compares to Perform 5000

  • Enhanced Acidity: Perform 6000 boasts a more acidic pH of 2.5 compared to Perform 5000's pH of 2.7, amplifying its ability to deal with stubborn pigments
  • More Potent Remediation: Especially effective for older biomass, making it a superior remediation option

Key Features

  • Powerful Remediation: Effectively targets chlorophyll and difficult color impurities.

Media

Can media help remediate more than just color?

We provide various media designed for different jobs. Please check our Product Finder for color, pesticides, heavy metals, moisture, etc. Or contact us for a recommendation.

Can I mix MB media with other media?

You can mix any media, but always beware of mixing different-sized media; various pressures might not be optimal for specific media and can impact flow rates.

Can I reuse the media?

It’s hard to judge because everyone’s system, SOP, starting material, end goal, etc.. is different. It can be reused, but that will depend on what you are happy with. With each consecutive run, the media’s efficacy will decrease.

How do I store my media?

Make sure the package is sealed; moisture is the biggest enemy!
